Aim

The aim of this service is to provide a document management system and collaboration tool that is available for use by staff of the College of Life Sciences.

Service Description

The College provides two main document management solutions.

User Responsibilities

  • In the event of encountering a problem, issues should be raised with the Life Sciences Computing Helpdesk (https://support.lifesci.dundee.ac.uk)
  • The service is subject to reasonable usage. Users who anticipate having to deal with large amounts of data should get in touch with Life Sciences Computing to discuss their requirements.

Service Targets

  • Monitor the availability of the Alfresco system and liaise with users as required.
  • Aim to record major faults on the Support Blog (support.lifesci.dundee.ac.uk) within 1 hour.
  • Aim to alert users of significant service-affecting issues within 1 day of identification.
  • To respond to individual problems within one working day if relating to supported software and systems.
  • To decline assistance for individual problems if relating to unsupported software or systems.
