Technology platforms and support

The College of Life Sciences has a range core facilities and technology platforms to support world-class research.

We strive to ensure that principal investigators have access to the most advanced technologies to accelerate discovery. These include mass-spectrometry-based proteomics, fluorescence microscopy, flow cytometry, deep sequencing, compound and siRNA screening and high performance computing.

These facilities allow researchers open access the appropriate technologies to drive their science. The facilities all have a senior PI Director and a dedicated Facility Manager and support team who provide access to well maintained equipment and develop and implement the latest techniques for the benefit of researchers. This includes the training of PhD students and postdoctoral scientists in those techniques.

For more detailed information on our core technology platforms go to the website for the Centre for Advanced Scientific Technologies.
