Laura Hobley, a Postdoc in the Stanley-Wall Lab in the Division of Molecular Microbiology has been awarded a LEADERS Award by SULSA (the Scottish Universities Life Sciences Alliance). These prestigious awards are made in open competition across all six SULSA Universities. SULSA LEADERS awards are for exceptional early career researchers and provide them with funding for training and personal development opportunities in parallel with their research careers. A major aim of the award scheme is to enable researchers to work different labs in order to gain insight and new skills in alternative research settings, and as part of this award Laura plans to undertake research in Dr. Tony Michael's laboratory in Texas, USA.
Head of Division, Professor Tracy Palmer said, “ All of us at MMB are very proud of Laura and the LEADER Award is well-deserved. It’s been a really exciting week for her and we plan to celebrate at the next Divisional party!”
