A short-term post-doc position is available in Professor Kate Storey's group immediately until January 2021, with some flexibility if required. There may also be a possibility of extension beyond this end date. The position will involve developing our ongoing work with a human iPS cell derived neural differentiation assay to investigate cell biological mechanisms that regulate neurogenesis. This will involve generating and characterising reporter hiPS cell lines and their use in live cell imaging experiments to monitor cell behaviour and how this changes in stress conditions.
- PhD in a relevant biological subject
- Expertise in molecular and cell biology as well as imaging – although training in our specific imaging approaches can be provided.
Appointment as a Postdoctoral Research Assistant on the Grade 7 salary scale is dependent upon you having been awarded a PhD. An appointment may be considered if you are shortly expected to be awarded a PhD. The initial appointment will be made as a Research Assistant on the Training Grade 7 salary scale (Spinal Point 28, £31,866).
