Dundee research highlighted for 10th Anniversary of Open Biology

The Royal Society’s first open access title, Open Biology, has reached its 10th Anniversary. To kick off a year of celebration, Subject Editors have highlighted their favourite articles from the past decade. Of the nine top publications selected, two are from Dundee, with work from the research groups of Julian Blow and Miratul Muqit being highlighted. 

Graham Christie appointed Academic Regional Lead for South East Asia

Dr Graham Christie has been appointed as Academic Regional Lead (ARL) for South East Asia (ASEAN).

“I am delighted to be taking on the ARL role for South East Asia and very much looking forward to working with the international team. I am particularly excited by the opportunities that the role affords in working with colleagues from across the University and beyond to continue to develop our strategy for recruitment of students from the ASEAN region,” said Graham.

PhD students reach the finals of the Biotechnology Young Entrepreneurs Scheme 2021

Three PhD students from the MRC PPU have successfully made It through to the final round of the Biotechnology Young Entrepreneurs Scheme (YES). Ailsa Black (Rousseau lab), Bill Carton (Sapkota lab) and Lee Armstrong (Kulathu lab) took part as team “Affinitas Biosciences Ltd” with their idea to supplement a chewing gum with a nanobody that specifically targets and inhibits tooth decaying bacteria.
