An exciting opportunity has arisen for a part time Clerical Assistant to work within the Division of Molecular Microbiology at the School of Research, College of Life Sciences. The postholder will provide clerical support to the Division Secretary, working closely with a number of senior Research Scientists and staff members within the Division.
Bioinformatics Research/Software Development in Protein Sequence Analysis and Structure Prediction
This appointment will join existing staff in the Data Analysis Group (DAG) in the College of Life Sciences, headed by Professor of Bioinformatics, Geoff Barton. The successful candidate will assist the Laboratory Manager in provision of daily support service requirements for research staff working in a life science environment. Duties will include procurement of consumables, assisting in coordinating the maintenance and repair of equipment, expenditure monitoring, adherence to health and safety policy and procedures, and general housekeeping.
