Magnificent Microbes at Sensation, 10 March 2012

Microbiologists from the College of Life Sciences at the University of Dundee are inviting visitors to come along to Sensation, Dundee Science Centre, this week to discover the wondrous world of `Magnificent Microbes’.

Although most microbes are invisible to the naked eye, our bodies contain millions of them, they help shape our environment, and we use them without knowing it everyday.

CLS scientists at the Women in Science Portrait Exhibition: Opening Event 6pm Thursday, 1 March 2012, Dalhousie Building

The College of Life Sciences is supporting the opening event and the Women in Science Portrait Exhibition which features photographs of women who work across a range of science disciplines and who are at different stages in their careers. Artist Janice Aitken has created sensitive and engaging portraits of the women, whose dedication, hard work and love of their jobs make them excellent examples to young people considering a career in the sciences.
