The Drug Discovery Unit (DDU) (see http://www.drugdiscovery.dundee.ac.uk) is a fully integrated drug discovery operation based within a world class Life Sciences research environment. Its remit is to complement BioPharma activities by tackling both neglected diseases and early stage small molecule validation of novel drug targets across a range of potential therapeutic areas.

Technician

We are looking for an enthusiastic and motivated technician to express and purify proteins using E coli, baculovirus and Pichia systems. The successful candidate will work with the Operational Manager, Protein Production - BCDD, scheduling work to ensure that high quality protein is delivered in a timely and cost-effective manner.

Operational Manager, Protein Production

We are looking for an enthusiastic and motivated scientist to operationally manage and develop the protein production facility. The successful candidate will work with the Principal Investigators within the Division of Biological Chemistry and Drug Discovery (BCDD) to ensure that high quality protein is delivered in a timely and cost-effective manner and to develop protein expression strategies appropriate for biophysical, biochemical and crystallographic study.
