Tracy Palmer elected to Fellowship of the American Academy of Microbiology

Professor Tracy Palmer, Head of the Division of Molecular Microbiology at the College of Life Sciences has been elected to the Fellowship of the American Academy of Microbiology. The Academy is the honorific leadership group within the American Society for Microbiology, and recognises excellence, originality, and leadership in the microbiological sciences; her election to this group is an international mark of distinction.  

Her colleague Dr. Nicola Stanley-Wall said, "Very few foreign Fellowships are awarded by the American Academy of Mictobiology, so Tracy's election is a great honour and thoroughly well-deserved."
