The Institute of Cancer Research is one of the leaders of cancer research, influential throughout the world. The Institute was founded in 1909 and has grown to become one of the world’s foremost cancer research organisations.
The ICR is to share to share its centenary celebrations in 2009 at a scientific conference in the heart of London. Speakers are drawn from around the world and represent excellence in their field. Professor Sir David Lane of the College of Life Sciences is due to deliver the Keynote Lecture at the ICR centenary conference. The conference, Cancer Genes: Discovery and Exploitation will be held over two days Monday 8th - Wednesday 10th June 2009 at The Queen Elizabeth II Conference Centre in London. Sir David will be delivering the keynote lecture Curing Cancer at 11:30 on Monday morning.
