New CAPES-University of Dundee 4-year PhD Studentship Programme is launched

The University of Dundee in association with the Brazilian government’s initiative for the Coordination of Improvement of Higher Education Personnel (Coordenação de Aperfeiçoamento de Pessoal de Nível Superior) or CAPES, has announced an exciting new programme that will provide up to 10 scholarships for postgraduate research for Brazilian citizens at the College of Life Sciences. 

Candidates wishing to apply to the programme must have Brazilian citizenship and preferably hold a Masters degree from an Institution accredited by CAPES.Candidates must not be already resident in the UK.

Students will receive a maintenance allowance and travel expenses from CAPES. The University of Dundee will pay the tuition and other academic fees and will also offer College of Life Sciences prize scholarships to outstanding CAPES students on a competitive basis.

The application process is now open and the deadline for applications is 25 February 2012.

Selection will take place simultaneously at CAPES and at the University of Dundee.
