We are a medical research lab based in the MRC Protein Phosphorylation and Ubiquitylation Unit at the University of Dundee. Ubiquitylation is the chemical bonding of the small protein ubiquitin to substrates and is used control vitually all apsects of the cell. Thousands of substrates become "ubiquitylated" and this process is linked to diseases such as cancer, autoimmunity and neurodegeneration. We use chemical biology to develop investigative technologies, which we apply with the aim of making paradigm redefining discoveries.
