Paul came to the lab in 2016 after working as head gardener at Kew in London from 2012. Paul is currently using single particle studies to infer structural relationships between SUMO polymers, ubiquitin and RNF4.

Unusual fact about Paul: He won 3rd place in the Indoor Begonia (Begonia elatior) category at the RHS Chelsea Flower Show in 2015.
