Jane got a master's in biochemistry from the University of Oxford and did her PhD with Brian McStay in Dundee studying RNA polymerase I. For her postdoc, Jane moved to Rafal Ciosk’s lab in FMI, Switzerland on an EMBO fellowship to study RNA binding proteins and germline regulation in the nematode worm Caenorhabditis elegans. She then returned to Dundee and after a brief stay in David Horn’s lab and maternity leave, Jane is now on a Marie Curie fellowship studying PIAS and heat shock in drosophila cells.
