The City of Dundee

The Discovery, Dundee.

Dundee is the 'City of Discovery', inspired by the iconic ship of the same name, in which Captain Scott first sailed to the Antarctic in 1901. The Discovery was the first vessel to be built specifically for scientific research, and today she rests in Dundee by the shore of the river Tay, just next to the V&A Museum of Design, which was inspired by The Discovery and serves as a 'living room for the city'.

Dundee's location is dominated by the beautiful estuary of the Tay, Scotland's longest river, with two bridges connecting road and rail to Fife and on towards Edinburgh, which is just over an hour away.
