Staff Position:
Scientist Medicinal Chemistry / Chemical Biology
MChem in Chemistry with Medicinal Chemistry (2015), Newcastle University
Ph.D. in Chemical Biology (2021), University of Strathclyde

I started off as an undergraduate at Newcastle University, studying Chemistry with Medicinal Chemistry, before a stint working as a process chemist. I then moved to undertake a PhD in Chemical biology under Prof. Glenn Burley at the University of Strathclyde. Here I focussed on developing peptidomimetics for application in Cell-Penetrating Peptides combining both synthetic chemistry and cell biology techniques. I now hope to gain experience in drug discovery with the vastly growing and exciting PROTAC technology. When not at work I enjoy a range of sports, primarily football and cricket, where I am unfortunate enough to follow my local team Sunderland AFC.
