LSC aim to provide a safe, secure, and environmentally sound method of disposal for decommissioned CLS IT equipment.

Service Description

LSC will endeavour to ensure that IT equipment is utilized fully until it is deemed no longer useful. When equipment is decommissioned LSC will ensure that it is disposed of in line with current University of Dundee disposal procedures. Hard drives will be removed and shredded by a reputable contractor to ensure complete destruction of all data.

User Responsibilities

• Inform LSC when equipment is no required.
• Ensure that equipment has been decontaminated where necessary
• Ensure that any required data has been removed from Hard disks
