One of the most useful aspects of Alfresco is the ability to have it automatically keep different versions of your data. For example, every time you save your document, Alfresco can keep a copy of both the new saved version, and the previous version as well. This is useful where changes need to be tracked over time.

By default, Versioning is not enabled on folders and must be added if required. Please see Adding Rules/Aspects.
