Many mobile devices are enabled for Exchange ActiveSync, allowing users to synchronise their mobile devices with their Office 365 mailbox. Users can synchronize e-mail messages, calendar information, and contact and task data. The following link shows the types of devices enabled for Exchange ActiveSync:

Please find instructions below for some of the most common platforms – Apple and Android:
Email checking frequency The default value is Automatic (push). When you select this option, email messages will be sent to your phone as they arrive. We recommend only selecting this option if you have an unlimited data plan.
Amount to synchronize This is the amount of mail you want to keep on your mobile phone. You can choose from several length options, including One day, Three days, and One week.
Notify me when email arrives If you select this option, your mobile phone will notify you when you receive a new email message.
Sync contacts from this account If you select this option, your contacts will be synchronized between your phone and your account.
Select Next and then enter a name for this account and the name you want displayed when you send email to others. Select Done to complete the email setup and start using your account.
We have observed that on some versions of Android the automatic email configuration process fails or may partially complete but leave you with an incorrect IMAP connection to your old GroupWise mailbox. If this is the case, you need to delete the email account and then rerun the above process but instead choosing to do a Manual Setup choosing ActiveSync as the connection type and entering the requested settings which can be found from within Office 365 webmail.
Blackberry Enterprise devices (if you get your calendar synced then most likely you have Enterprise connection) will need to be reconfigured in conjunction with Life Sciences Computing on Monday 9th to work with Office 365. Personal Blackberry devices can be configured to use IMAP to receive mail as described below.
If you have a mobile device that does not support Exchange ActiveSync, you can send and receive email using a mail protocol (IMAP) that is universally supported on almost all devices.
You can obtain the IMAP settings for Office 365 by following the instructions below:
