An oligonucleotide synthesis service exists in the department, delivering high quality DNA oligonucleotides, from primers and probes up to long pieces of DNA for gene synthesis.

The laboratory has 16 years experience in the chemical synthesis and handling of high quality nucleic acid. DNA from this facility is used for demanding physical experiments, such as NMR and fluorescence microscopy. There is also considerable experience in the synthesis of modifid DNA and RNA.
