I got my Master in Pharmaceutical Biotechnology at University of Bologna in July 2008.
Being honest I was very uncertain about making a phD and I refused to do it immediately after my graduation. I prefer having different experiences before coming back to the academia. The Wellcome Trust programme fits to me for its eclectic nature: what I really appreciate was the unique opportunity to have a flavour of labs and scientific environment in general before starting your real project and the idea to take one year time to settle down and learn in the meanwhile different techniques in different research areas it’s a plus and an advantage for future choices.
Furthermore, good reputation in science apart, Dundee is a smallish student international city ideal for who decide to move abroad and it’s in a good location for any outdoor activity and day-off in biggest Scottish towns.
