The translational parasitology group is an integral part of the tropical diseases drug discovery programme at the Drug Discovery Unit and provides an extensive suite of cell-based assays for Trypanosoma cruzi, Leishmania donovani, Plasmodium falciparum and Trypanosoma brucei.
The main goals of the group are the development of new cell-based assays for protozoan parasites, high-throughput screening using cell-based parasite assays to find new hits for drug discovery and profiling of compounds for our and other drug discovery programmes.
