The College of Life Sciences at the University of Dundee has been voted once again as one of the top international institutions (outside the US) for postdocs to work in life sciences research in The Scientist Magazine. This year's survey rates Dundee in third place behind the Novartis Institute for Biomedical Research, Horsham and University College, London and CLS is the only research institute in Scotland to be named in the list. Scientists from the Drug Discovery Unit (DDU) at the University of Dundee – working together with partners at the University of York and the Structural Genomics Consortium - have made a major breakthrough in identifying new treatments for a fatal disease which infects tens of thousands of Africans each year.
