In this k-turn the loop is reduced to two nucleotides, and opposed by one. There is no nucleotide stacked on the end of the C helix. Unusually, the O2' of the ribose at -1b donates a hydrogen bond to the N1 of adenine 1n, adopting the role of L1 in the standard k-turn.
