Welcome
O my luve is like a red, red rose,
That's newly sprung in June
(R. Burns, 1794)
...but how does a rose know that it's June? Our lab aims to understand how plants control the time at which they flower and the number of flowers they make. By dissecting the mechanisms involved, we hope to understand a little better how genes are regulated and explain one of the wonders of the natural world; flower formation.
