Joint MRC PPU/GRE Informal Seminar
Paola Vagnarelli is doing interesting work to better understand the regulation and function of poorly understood set of protein phosphatases that regulate chromatin organisation at the transition from mitosis to G1 in cell division. Protein phosphatases are obviously key in regulating protein phosphorylation, but their study has been very much neglected especially in recent year. Anyone with an interest in the cell cycle and protein phosphorylation could find this seminar interesting. It will also be a good opportunity to get a glimpse of where research in the protein phosphatase area is at and what approaches are being used to study these important enzymes.
