Delivering world class research and teaching are central aims of our School. To do so we need to work with the greatest integrity. In early 2016, a Research Integrity Working Group was established to review and consider current school policies and procedures relating to research integrity and professional behaviour. The working group is led by Professor Inke Näthke, Associate Dean for Professional Culture and also includes Professor Alan Fairlamb, Dr Clive Randall, Dr Marios Stavridis, Dr Paul Davies and Dr Piers Hemsley. One area that emerged as important was to improve awareness and knowledge of research integrity, as well as improved communication of this issue.
To this end, Professor Näthke will host an open forum discussion for all School of Life Sciences staff on Monday 19thJune 2017 at 12 noon in the MSI Large Lecture Theatre. The aim of the forum is to present findings and conclusions from the working group, share ideas about how to adjust and improve our practise and seek input from staff before revising existing procedures.
