Research Support and Drug Discovery Unit Officer

Summary of Job Purpose and Principal Duties

You must have an ability to work as part of a team and to perform your duties to exacting standards. The post is full-time, Mondays to Fridays, with some week-end work to be undertaken on a rota system and for which overtime will be paid.

Postdoctoral Research Assistant

A Post-doctoral position is available in the Division of Molecular Microbiology, College of Life Sciences, University of Dundee. The MRC-funded project, which is available on or after 1st August 2011, will be carried out in the laboratory of Professor Tracy Palmer and will be for up to 3 years. The Palmer group is interested in the function of the bacterial Tat protein transport system, using Escherichia coli as a model organism (e.g. Palmer, et al. (2005) Trends Microbiol13, 175-180; Maldonado et al. (2011) FEBS Letts. 585, 478-484).
